Mrs. Fola Laoye is the Chairman of Hygeia Group. She is a graduate of University of Lagos (Bsc Accounting, 1990) and qualified as an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1995 and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 1997. She trained with Coopers & Lybrand, UK (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers) from 1991 to 1995 and worked with the Corporate Finance Unit of First Securities Discount House ("FSDH") from 1995 to 1997. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, U.S.A and teaches (part-time) Strategy at Lagos Business School (now Pan-African university). She has been instrumental in charting the growth strategy of Hygeia for several years.

Dr. Modupe Elebute-Odunsi is a Consultant Haematologist at King’s College Hospital, London where she is the lead clinician for a national NHS Specialised Service for Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria (PNH). She holds the following qualifications: MBBS, MD, FRCP, FRCPath. Prior to her appointment at King’s, she was a Consultant at St George’s Hospital and The UK National Blood Transfusion Service. Following undergraduate medical training in Lagos and postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Haematology in a number of London hospitals, she was awarded a Clinical Fellowship by The Leukaemia Research Fund to carry out research in bone marrow failure syndromes. For her dissertation on this subject, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) by the University of London. She has been Principal Investigator for several major clinical trials, has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals and co-authored chapters in textbooks including the most recent edition of Postgraduate Haematology. She was Program Director for the South West London Haematology Training scheme and is a postgraduate Educational Supervisor at King’s. She is a Member of the American Society of Haematology, the European Haematology Association and the British Haematology Society.

Mr. Onno P. Schellekens is the Managing Director of PharmAccess Foundation. PharmAccess provides financial, administrative and medical support for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and other diseases in Africa. The PharmAccess programs focus on the provision of medicines, the inspection of laboratories and the training of doctors and nurses. Onno is founder of the Health Insurance Fund. The Health Insurance Fund (HIF), established in 2005, aims to introduce medical insurance schemes for low and no-income groups and through private healthcare providers in Africa. Onno holds a master degree from the School of Management and Organization of the University Groningen, The Netherlands. He attended the Insead Asia Executive Course in 1996.

Mrs. Tsega Gebreyes-Lalude is the former Chief of Strategy and Business Development Officer at Celtel International, where she played an instrumental role in attracting capital for investments in Africa and was a driving force behind the growth of the business through multi-country expansion across Africa. Prior to Celtel, Mrs Gebreyes -Lalude was a founding partner of NAOF, a US $120 million private equity Fund currently managed by Zephyr Asset Management. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Justin H. Abbott is a former investment banker, having been a Director of Rothschild specialising in mergers and acquisitions. As a banker, Mr Abbott worked across industries for clients ranging from Associated British Foods to Jimmy Choo to British Telecom. His experience at Rothschild included a number of transactions in Africa. Prior to joining Satya Capital, Mr. Abbott was Head of Research for the manager led strategy at Marshall Wace, a leading European hedge fund, where he was also responsible for a number of sectors from the consumer space through to infrastructure. Mr Abbott began his career as a corporate lawyer at Slaughter and May after graduating from Oxford University.

Mr. Babajide H. K. Olanrewaju was previously a Vice President at Morgan Stanley where he made investments on behalf of its $4 Bn Infrastructure Fund. Prior to joining that Fund, Jide worked for 5 years within Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division in various roles. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he also worked briefly at Goldman Sachs and Shell International in Investment Banking and Gas & Power respectively. Jide holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Nuclear Reactor Technology from Imperial College, London

Mr. Lars Stork is the Group CEO for Hygeia Nigeria Limited, he is a Danish National who for more than 30 years has lived a corporate lifestyle as a senior executive for multinational companies such as, Unilever (23 Years) and Telecoms Businesses  Celtel  (5Years) His work has taken him to all corners of the globe: He built telecommunications networks in India, Zambia, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Nigeria; FMCG factories in China, Europe and the United States, he have lived in more than 15 countries from Norway in the North to Nigeria in the South, Shanghai  in the East and New York in the West. Between 2006 and 2008 he was based in Nigeria where he was instrumental in facilitating a tripling  of the size of Celtel’s Nigerian Telecommunication business ,from about 5 million to 18 million customers in three years. He won the global award for the best innovative approach in terms of penetrating rural areas in Nigeria and the rest of Sub- Saharan Africa. He was also named in GTB top 100 lists of the most influential people in the telecoms industry.
