Hygeia Nigeria Ltd

Hygeia Nigeria Limited was incorporated in 1984 as a limited liability company. In essence the Hygeia Group offers a fully integrated healthcare network throughout Nigeria incorporating both private and public sector initiatives.

Lagoon Hospitals

The Lagoon Hospital Group is the pioneer of advanced medical care in Nigeria and is committed to delivering the highest standards of professionalism and service. The first Lagoon Hospital was established in 1986 in Apapa and since then additional hospitals have been opened in Ikeja and Victoria Island. Today the three hospitals maintain the same high standards of quality and offer a full range of in-and-out patient care. The Lagoon Hospitals utilise the latest technology and offer first class healthcare services.

Hygeia Foundation

It is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, started to improve skills and abilities in Nigerian Healthcare. The Foundation receives funding from the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) under the Global Fund to provide comprehensive HIV services within the private sector. Hygeia Foundation is the only Nigerian NGO implementing a free, comprehensive Anti-Retroviral Treatment programme across all the states.

Hygeia Community Health Programme

The Hygeia Community Health Plan (HCHP) offers access to affordable, good quality healthcare services to selected low-income communities in Lagos & Kwara states. In the future it will be made available to other communities across Nigeria. One payment per person per year allows the enrollee medical treatment whenever they need it. This subsidised health insurance scheme was developed by Hygeia Nigeria Limited in conjunction with PharmAccess Foundation, a Dutch Network with the donor support of the Dutch Health Insurance Fund.
