Hygeia Foundation works to increase HIV and AIDS awareness as well as accessibility to care and to treat.Currently the Foundation receives funding from the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) under the Global Fund to provide comprehensive HIV services within the private sector. Activities are geared towards scaling up comprehensive HIV and AIDS treatment and care for people living with the disease in all States of Nigeria.  Hygeia Foundation has the mandate to build the capacity of private sector providers, and ensure quality service provision through mentoring.

The Foundation also focuses on capacity building within the healthcare sector in Nigeria, facilitating skills training in key areas for medical professionals with the overall aim is to improve healthcare delivery in the nation.
