The Hygeia Foundation is a member of the Hygeia Group of Companies which has over 20 years experience in the healthcare sector in Nigeria. It is a non-governmental not for profit organisation, started to improve skills and abilities in Nigerian healthcare.

The peer support system of Hygeia Foundation takes cognisance of the immense value of empowering People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) to play the role of peer counsellors in a facility in their community.
