Hygeia Foundation

Hygeia Foundation is a member of the Hygeia Group of Businesses which has over 20 years experience in the Healthcare sector in Nigeria. The Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation which was started to empower health professionals to excel at their jobs by helping to improve their skills and thus their ability to deliver good healthcare in Nigeria.

Hygeia Foundation is also working to increase HIV and AIDS awareness as well as accessibility to care. Currently the Foundation receives funding from the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) under the Global Fund to provide comprehensive HIV services within the private sector. Activities are geared towards scaling up comprehensive HIV and AIDS treatment and care for people living with the disease in all States of Nigeria.

Hygeia Foundation has the mandate to build the capacity of private sector providers, and ensure quality service provision through mentoring and is currently working in 34 sites spread across 24 states of the Federation.
