Mrs. Lanre Tunji Sanusi

Group CFO, Hygeia Nigeria Limited

Mrs Lanre Tunji Sanusi is the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Hygeia Group. She has over 20 years’ wide ranging experience in consulting, healthcare, financial, telecoms and QSR industries. She started her career at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), worked at Denham Management Limited as an Investment Manager and headed the Investment Banking division of National Bank before joining Food Concepts & Entertainment Limited (now Food Concepts Plc) as the pioneer Finance Director.

She was the Finance Director for Pfizer Nigeria & East Africa Region and Helios Towers Nigeria Limited prior to joining Hygeia as Group Chief Financial Officer. Lanre through the years has gained expertise in corporate finance, investment banking, process reengineering and tax, financial control, mergers & acquisitions. She joined Hygeia in October 1, 2013.

Dr. Peju Adenusi

CEO, Hygeia Community Health Care

Dr. Olapeju Adenusi is the Managing Director for Hygeia Community Health Care and Hygeia Foundation. She is a Public health physician with over 2 decades experience in policy development and strategic planning, advocacy, programme management, development of training manuals/curriculum, training in MCH, HIV and AIDS at national, state and LGA levels in Nigeria.

She holds an MBBS Degree from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Masters in Public Health from University of Lagos, Nigeria and Masters in Family Planning and Social Research from Mahidol University, Thailand. She has also undergone fellowships at the Bill and Melinda Gate Institute based in the Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA and the Population Leadership Program (PLP), in University of Washington, Seattle, USA. She joined Hygeia in July 2008.

Major Ganesh Kale

CEO, Lagoon Hospitals

Major Ganesh Kale joined us in June 2014, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lagoon Hospitals. He holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Mathematics and has Hospital Management and Leadership training from the Association of Hospital Administrators in India. He also served in the Indian Army with Distinction and recipient of highest gallantry award from the President of India.

He comes prepared with over 25 years’ Hospital Management experience, managing multiplications large units and was most recently the CEO of Metro Hospitals in Jaipur and Vadodara, India, with a capacity of 1,000 beds. Prior to this, he has held up to 4 Hospital CEO positions, the notable ones being with Sterling Hospitals in Ahmedabad, India (400 bed capacity) and Aramed Hospital, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and Paras Hospitals,(Gurgaon) Delhi, He has completed green field large hospital projects, commissioned and turned them into a profit making ventures. He has to his credit of accrediting 4 major hospitals with NABH (equivalent of JCI).

He possesses strong and proven competencies in developing and implementing customer friendly hospital processes via streamlining the working SOPs for enhanced operational effectiveness. He is an effective communicator and an accepted leader with excellent relationship building, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

He leads a Clinical and Managerial team which is committed to delivering cutting edge Quality Healthcare services and maintain excellence-in-care and the Safety of patients.

Mr. Ramesh Kurup

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Hygeia HMO

Mr. Ramesh Kurup is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Hygeia HMO. Ramesh comes with over 22 years of field experience in Accounting, Health and General Insurance. He is a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) graduate from the University of Kerala, Kollam, India and also a member of the Insurance Institute of India.

He was previously the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Strategis Insurance Limited, Tanzania, where he was responsible for the various operations of the organisation. He also held various senior management roles at Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, Trivandrum, India and The New India Assurance Co. Ltd India. In Hygeia HMO, he oversees the entire operations of the organisation and provides quality leadership and superior direction to ensure efficient and all round professional performance of the business. He joined Hygeia HMO in January 2012.

Mr. Jide Olanrewaju


Mr. Jide Olanrewaju was previously a Vice President at Morgan Stanley where he made investments on behalf of its $4 Bn Infrastructure Fund. Prior to joining that Fund, Jide worked for 5 years within Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in various roles. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he also worked briefly at Goldman Sachs and Shell International in Investment Banking and Gas & Power respectively. Jide holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Nuclear Reactor Technology from Imperial College, London.

Mrs. Tsega Gebreyes-Lalude


Mrs. Tsega Gebreyes-Lalude is the former Chief of Strategy and Business Development Officer at Celtel International, where she played an instrumental role in attracting capital for investments in Africa and was a driving force behind the growth of the business through multi-country expansion across Africa. Prior to Celtel, Mrs Gebreyes -Lalude was a founding partner of NAOF, a US $120 million private equity Fund currently managed by Zephyr Asset Management. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Wole Adeleke


Wole Adeleke is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. A cement industry professional, he has held executive level management positions in AshakaCem Plc and Lafarge Cement Wapco Nigeria Plc, (subsidiary companies of Lafarge SA of France) and Dangote Cement Plc.

He is currently an independent consultant to Lafarge Nigeria and serves on the Board of Aggreko Projects Limited, the Nigerian subsidiary of Aggreko Plc of United Kingdom, engaged in the rental and installation of large electric power generating sets. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hygeia Nigeria Limited in April 2013.

Mr. Elom Lassey


Mr. Elom Lassey joined Satya Capital from Goldman Sachs International where he was an investment banker in the Financing Group for several years focussed on private equity and corporate finance transactions. Elom executed several buy-side and sell-side transactions with Goldman Sachs including the £5.0 billion financing for NTL / Telewest, the ZAR 1.5 billion financing for the Alexander Forbes group and the £500 million financing for the Peacock Group. Elom graduated in economics from University College, London.

Mr. Moez Daya


Mr. Moez Daya is former Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technical Officer at Celtel international. Mr. Daya’s previous experience includes positions as an Executive engineer at BT Mobile, as an Executive Director and Head of the cellular planning group at Cellnet (now O2). Mr Daya was also one of the founders of MSI Plc and Product Director of MSI’s flagship software product (Planet) before joining Celtel as Technical Director. Mr. Daya has a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bath University.

Mrs. Fola Laoye

Chairman of Hygeia Nigeria Limited

Mrs. Fola Laoye is the Chairman of Hygeia Nigeria Limited. She is a graduate of University of Lagos (BSc Accounting, 1990) and qualified as an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1995 and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 1997.

She trained with Coopers & Lybrand, UK (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers) from 1991 to 1995 and worked with the Corporate Finance Unit of First Securities Discount House (“FSDH”) from 1995 to 1997. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She has been instrumental in charting the growth strategy of Hygeia for several years.

Professor E.A Elebute


Prof. E. A. Elebute is the co-founder and pioneer chairman of Hygeia Nigeria Limited. He is also a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon. He holds the following qualifications: MA, MD (Trinity College Dublin), FRCS (Edin), FWACS, FMCS (Nig).

Professor Elebute has been involved in the Nigerian healthcare industry for 50 years and was previously the Provost of the College of Medicine of University of Lagos and the Chief Medical Director of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He served on the Board of Evans Medical Plc (formerly Glaxo Nigeria Limited) for more than 25 years; and as Chairman of Glaxo Wellcome Nigeria Ltd. He has been awarded the CON (Commander of the Order of the Niger) by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
